Hello! My name is Ivan and thanks to my passion for the outdoors, I decided to create ValTerra Excursiones and venture into the ecotourism business. Since then, I have crafted wonderful hiking and biking trips to visit extraordinary places around Oaxaca. ValTerra offers small group adventures designed by me and guided in English and Spanish.

ValTerra promotes sustainable tourism in the state by partnering with local guides to bring business to the host communities and make an economic and social impact. At the same time, ValTerra strives to make an environmental impact by offering to our clients eco-friendly activities such as hiking and biking.

YOUR LOCAL GUIDE
I was born and raised in Oaxaca. I also had the opportunity to live abroad during my college years and I have also traveled to several countries around the world. On my travels, I have experienced the need of local experts who can show those hidden gems, the sites that are off the beaten path in unique ways. I have traveled a lot around Oaxaca as well and I would love to share my travel knowledge and experiences with others.
